Job Description

Canadian Nuclear Laboratories is hiring a Construction and Maintenance Electrician from its official Taleo requisition for Whiteshell Laboratories in Pinawa, Manitoba. The role plans, installs, tests, inspects, and troubleshoots industrial electrical equipment and removes or assesses electrical services and systems for future use.

Work includes reading building plans and electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings; installing conduit, conductor enclosures, fittings, fixtures, control equipment, fire alarm, communication, light, heat, and power wiring; installing distribution and control equipment; installing data cabling and fibre optic systems; and testing electrical circuits for integrity and safety.

Qualifications require high school completion, completed apprenticeship training or equivalent, and qualification as a Construction and Maintenance Electrician with a 309A or HC License/Interprovincial Red Seal Ticket. The posting requires at least 3 years of Red Seal Electrician experience, knowledge of applicable codes and standards, blueprint reading, safety focus, physical agility, and ability to work with protective clothing and equipment.
