Job Description

00 hourly *Licensed Journeyman Electrician ? Industrial & Commercial* *J. * Niagara Region, Ontario About Us J. Philip Electrical Services Inc. is a growing electrical contractor specializing in industrial maintenance, troubleshooting, controls, power distribution, automation support, and commercial electrical work throughout the Niagara Region.

We're looking for a motivated, licensed Journeyman Electrician who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys solving problems, and wants to be part of a team that values professionalism, continuous learning, and personal growth. Position Overview The successful candidate will perform electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and service work in industrial and commercial environments.

This role offers exposure to a wide variety of electrical systems, controls, instrumentation, and power distribution projects.

Responsibilities * Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial and commercial electrical systems * Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications * Diagnose and repair electrical and control system issues * Perform service calls and preventative maintenance * Install conduit, cable tray, wire, devices, motors, VFDs, and control equipment * Assist with automation, instrumentation, and process control systems * Complete work safely and in accordance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code * Communicate professionally with customers and project stakeholders * Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used * Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold company standards Qualifications * Valid Ontario Construction & Maintenance Electrician (309A) or Industrial Electrician (442A) Certificate of Qualification * Valid driver's licence with clean driving record * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Experience in industrial environments considered a strong asset * Knowledge of motor controls, VFDs, PLC systems, and instrumentation is an asset * Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics * Strong communication and organizational skills What We're Looking For * Positive attitude and willingness to learn * Professionalism and reliability * Pride in workmanship * Self-motivated and accountable * Team player who values continuous improvement * Someone who isn't afraid to tackle challenging problems and develop new skills Compensation & Benefits * Competitive hourly wage based on experience * Overtime opportunities * Company vehicle opportunities for qualified candidates * Ongoing training and professional development * Diverse project exposure across industrial, commercial, controls, automation, and power distribution work * Opportunity for career growth within a growing company Why Join J.
