Selkirk Copper Mines Inc. is hiring a Site Electrician - Term Contract from its official careers page for Minto Mine, Yukon. The role installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems and equipment across the mine site, including motors, control panels, lighting, wiring, generators, and instrumentation.

It also includes routine inspections and preventative maintenance, reading electrical schematics, diagnosing faults, commissioning electrical equipment, maintaining maintenance records, and following site safety policies, electrical codes, and lockout/tagout procedures. Qualifications require Journeyperson Electrician certification, with Red Seal preferred, plus Yukon certification or eligibility for inter-provincial endorsement.

The posting prefers 3 to 5 years of mining, industrial, or heavy-equipment electrical experience and experience with industrial motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, and electrical distribution systems. The contract is a 15-days-on/13-days-off rotation to December 31, 2026, with camp accommodations, meals, and travel covered.
