About the Role We are seeking an Tech 2, Bakery- Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our Brantford bakery.
As an Tech 2, Bakery- Maintenance , you will be accountable for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing electrical, control, and production systems to support safe, reliable, and efficient bakery operations. This role is critical in minimizing downtime, maximizing equipment performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
20 night shift and $2 weekeends) Core Accountabilities (What You’ll Be Doing) - Troubleshoot and repair electrical, control, and automated production systems to maintain operational efficiency. - Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and performance. - Install, modify, and maintain electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems to support production needs. - Maintain facility equipment, utilities, and building systems to ensure safe and effective operations.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency situations to minimize downtime and support business continuity. - Promote compliance with food safety, quality, and occupational health and safety standards. - Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, equipment performance, and operational effectiveness. Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table) - Industrial Electrician Certification (309A or 442A) required. - Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience maintaining and troubleshooting industrial control systems and manufacturing equipment. - Working knowledge of Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). - Ability to safely handle hazardous materials in an industrial manufacturing environment. - Ability to work a 12-hour rotating continental shift schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. - Strong commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success) - Class B Refrigeration License. - Experience in a food manufacturing environment. - Knowledge of HACCP and food safety programs. - Experience participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives. - Experience maintaining refrigeration systems and facility support equipment.
